Our partner iContact (former IntelliContact) bluntly cancelled our business relationship on account of our name being listed in Spamhaus.org.

This is clearly a case of mistaken identity and also a clear case of the dangers of blindly trusting a group of vigilantes. The folks at iContact and Mr. Justin Rauschenberg, VP, ISP Relations - who signed the letter - did not bother checking the Spamhaus records. It would not surprise me if the letter was generated automatically by a bot.

We use Spamhaus databases ourselves to combat spam and are committed to fighting spam and cybercrime on the highest level.

We will expect a formal apology from the people at iContact who threatened us with legal action without spending one single minute on researching the facts.

We are in process of reviewing several other companies and will be moving all your accounts to the new provider shortly.

We urge you to stop using and recommending iContact immediately.
